Encinitas Holiday Parade 2017
Professional Christmas light installation at the Encinitas Holiday Parade always makes this event one of the best in town. When you attend the Encinitas Holiday Parade, you'll be able to see countless floats with amazing Christmas lights and decorations. Plenty of marching bands and other fun parade activities will be at the event as well. Thousands of people attend the parade every year, so we recommend getting to the event early if possible.
Floats With Professional Christmas Light Installations, Holiday Music and More!
About 100 entries will be at the parade this year. The entries will include everything from floats with professional Christmas light installations, to performances and even music. Encinitas is known for its popular art scene. Many of the floats will be designed around the parade’s theme: "Celebrating the Arts” this year. There’s also going to be a tree lighting ceremony at the Lumberyard, where Santa will be making a very brief appearance before the start of the parade. The event will be held at 5 PM on Saturday, December 2nd. Parade spectators will be able to enjoy the tree lighting ceremony at 5 PM. Santa will be there just before 5:30 PM when the parade starts. The Encinitas Holiday Parade is a great way to kick off the holiday season. It's a family-friendly event that everyone will enjoy. Plenty of sponsors will be showing their support at the event including AMR Ambulance, EDCO Waste and Recycling and LePort Montessori School. This year's parade promises to offer some of the best lighting displays, popular music and art in town.
Parking Information
Parking at the parade is usually limited, unless you arrive a few hours before the event. Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas on Santa Fe Drive and the YMCA/Ecke Sports Park on Saxony Road will both be offering free shuttles to and from the event as well, if you want to avoid the stress of parking. The shuttles will run every 20 minutes starting at 4 PM till 8:30 PM. The shuttles drop off at the NCTD bus station on Vulcan Avenue. The bus station is about a half block from the main parade route, so walking to the parade from here is easy.
